Thelma Theatre’s WORLD PREMIERE productions of Princess Margaret and Whenever You're Near Me I Feel Sick were part of the first DC Women’s Voices Theater Festival at the Trinidad Theatre, 1358 Florida Avenue, NE, Washington, DC.
The Women’s Voices Theater Festival included more than 50 of the Washington, DC area’s professional theaters each presenting one world premiere production of a work by one or more female playwrights.
“The Women’s Voices Theater Festival will be the largest collaboration of theater companies working simultaneously to produce original works by female writers in history.”
Thelma Theatre is a professional theater founded by Patricia Connelly whose mission is to present new work by or about women.
